Thanks Bob. 

I just found the average speed of ISS is 27,685.7 KM/H. This means that it
travelled about 242,526,732 KM per the year. Probably closer to
300,000,000
KM when you take into account that it was on board from the beginning of
August 2005 to mid-September 2006. Strangely this number is around the
same
distance light travels in 1000 seconds. In other words it was going pretty
fast.

I hate it when I mostly answer my own questions

About 365 days times 15 orbits per day times the circumference
of the earth... I guess.  It was a one year experiment on the
outside of the ISS.
