[OZAPRS] UIViewV2.39 (16 bit) bad packet formation?

Hi All

I have just setup a small digipeater at my QSL, but have been having
significant problems with not being heard by other stations. I
believe that UIView is not forming posit packets properly...

More detail. The setup....

Old Pentium 150MHz machine using AGWPE, through a 2.5Watt Kenwood 2M
handheld to a highly elevated groundplane whip. Can work audio
simplex, and hit local voice repeaters, so the radio side is good.
Software. AGWPE, and UiView V2.39 under Win98.

Basically, using this setup I _can_ send to my car (Kenwood D700A)
messages, pings, DX? requests, and all get through with any responses
from my car being properly decoded on the UIView end...however any
positional data SENT by UiView is NOT decoded by the Kenwood, or the
local WIDE.

Have investigated using the Kenwood terminal screen and think that
packets are malformed by UiView ONLY when sending posits, as I don't
see completely formed packets for the posits.

Anyone else seen this behavior? (My next action is to go to the 32
bit version, if thats no good, changing to a hardware TNC, but it
would be good to find the fault)

Thanks

Andrew
