[OZAPRS] Kenwood D7A spares

All,

I needed a spare part for my D7A. The screw on antenna mount thread
snapped after it was sat on.

I when to  Kenwood spare parts at North Ryde only to be told that the
spare part was no longer available, as from 2001 it was a discontinued
model. I pointed out that they still advertise them on the AU web site and
you can still buy the new. The parts person then just repeated the
"discontinued model" line.

Has any body else had this prob or did I just get the wrong person.

I also emailed the service department twice with this issue over the last
6 weeks but have not even had a reply.
