[OZAPRS] Help needed with Garmin Etrex Venture

G'day all,

I have been given a Garmin Etrex Venture GPS unit but it has an 
unreadable (cracked) LCD screen.  Is it possible to set up the 
unit via the serial port to output NMEA to be useful in APRS?  It 
appears to talk Garmin at present so still seems to be functioning.

Any comments would be appreciated.
