I think the GPS301 will only send if the right polarity is on the Recv
input - check if you are receiving any data at all.

Subject: [OZAPRS] Uniden GPS301

Hi all.

I'm having a problem with my Uniden GPS301 for APRS.

Setting the GPS301 to 9600 baud the NMEA data is perfect, as monitored
on my ancient Toshiba laptop. At 4800 a regular stream of junk are
received.

A newer laptop of mine can't receive data from the GPS at all on any
speed, so I'm thinking that the GPS301 is being cheeky and is outputting
data at TTL levels.

Before I built an interface, does this sound about what the problem is?

Thanks for any help.

Gavin.
