Those following the Ui-View email list will be aware Roger's funeral was
at 14:30 yesterday (02:30 today NZ Time).
 
It was suggested that, as a tribute to Roger, stations attempt to put up a
series of objects to spell G4IDE, across the Atlantic (there was some
side-comment that Ui-View spans much further than that, of course - but
that would take a great deal more co-coordinating,a nd such a tribute is
only practical on empty oceans).
 
I have captured the result, and a map view is attached.  Note the station
callsigns have been filtered, to allow the object dots to be seen.


I am uncertain if these email lists allow attachments, so if you don't
have a JPG file with this message, and would like to see it, drop me a
line directly and I will send you one.
 
To see the display your self, you will have to connect to an internet APRS
server, on a world-wide port, with buffering, eg aprs.net.au:10151.  Be
prepared for lots of data though!!  You will then need to apply some
filters to sort out what you want to see.
