[OZAPRS] VK3 APRS RF News....

Hi All,

 

I take pleasure in announcing that VK3RON-1 at Ouyen is now operational on
145.175Mhz.

Thanks goes to Ron VK3ECV and his team for installing this Digipeater.

 

Now that we nearly have full coverage along the Calder Hwy there may be
some confusion on what frequency to use where. Should I be on 144.900Mhz
or 145.175Mhz to get APRS coverage?

 

Well to help you here is the general border line for frequency change.

 

Highway        Freq Change Town/Location

Calder           Gama or Speed

Murray Valley North of Swan Hill

Cobb              Vic/NSW Border

Hume             Holbrook

Olympic         Henty

Newell            Jerilderie

Western         Vic/SA Border

Princes          West of Mt Gambier

Glenelg          West of Mt Gambier

 

Remember; 

When traveling South/East change TO 144.900Mhz

When traveling North/West change TO 145.175Mhz
