hi all
like brian i would like to see some conformity in ssid used & think a
guideline could be reached, keeping in mind they are only guidelines and
may
not suit every case
i am happy to change ssid's to meet this goal
i can see 3byd warren has put some thought into the system shown keeping
vhf
as odds and hf as the incremented evens and makes it easy to associate
them
as a pair or 1 unit
the use of a secondary ssid pair is useful when an permanent installation
exists in more than one vehicle eg work/home car ( or caravan) and the
could both be mobile at one time & if one ssid was used it would get very
confusing
when testing & trials have been completed on uaj-11 think i will change it
to warrens system eg uaj-10 subject to comment
i will then start work on vk3uaj-13/-14
just to clarify my ssid at the moment = VK3 UAJ:
VHF HF
hand held/portable -7
4WD/private car -9 -11
work van -15 -13
73 3uaj

ps. i am displeased that in answering brians question i got no response
to
my email
