Subject: UI-View and WinPack Registered Users Poll.
Hi All,
I am instigating this poll of UI-View and WinPack registered users at
the request of Roger, G4IDE.
As you are already aware, Roger is suffering from a cancer which is
inoperable.
Because of this he feels he would like to make his UI-View
and Winpack programs Freeware, with the proviso that any
new users will MAKE A DONATION to
their local or national CANCER RESEARCH ORGANIZATION,
equivalent in their local currency, to the registration fee.
The poll poses this question and consists of a simple 'Yes' or 'No'
answer and callsign.
The callsign requirement is simply to ensure that
the votes are from registered users.
There will be no criticism levelled at those who vote 'No'
The links are as follows:-
For UI-View registered users:-

For WinPack registered users:-

Many thanks to Andy, M0CYP, for hosting this poll!
Roger has also asked me to point out that at the moment he is very weak.
To make the programs Freeware he will have to produce new versions of
UI-View, UI-View32 and WinPack.
It may be that, despite the results of the poll,
he will never have the energy to complete this task and hopes
that you will understand if he cannot do it.
I would ask all registered users of the programs to complete the poll
for the following reasons:-
1. It may provide an incentive to Roger which would result in a partial
recovery. In fact during the discussions on this he became more
animated than he has been for a couple of months.
2. It would allow new users to enjoy the programs without the
limitations of the non-registered versions.
3. It would enable all those registered users who, for
various reasons, have lost their registration details
to use the programs again.
Thank you all!
73,
Ken Collins - G4FIP
