[OZAPRS] HF IGATE UNPROTO PATH?

Hi Ron,

You will need to use the Path of Gate,Wide if the HF RX Base station is
not
an IGate. This will gate your transmission from HF to VHF + 1 Digipeater
hop
to get to the local VHF IGate.

If your station is running an IGate which is listening on HF then you
don't
need to set a path of Gate,Wide as the IGate will pick up all it hears on
HF
and send it directly to APRS IS.

The problem is you don't know which HF RX Base station will receive your
transmission. Is the HF RX Base station an IGate or a Gate without
internet
access, or a Gate + 1 Digi hop away from the local VHF IGate.

To overcome this unknown it is recommended you use the path of Gate,Wide.

Cheers
Richard
