[OZAPRS] FW: VK3CV-1 site monitoring with Site Alert

Hi Darryl,

Not sure what benefit this would be, the project was originally
developed for a specific need and grew from there. It grew to the point
where it was thought that it may be useful to others but was never
intended to be 'full-on' But after saying that, there was some though
that if there was enough interest it may be worth finding someone to
develop a PCB for it.

We don't have time to really do this at the moment.

Cheers
Richard

Hi All,

Last weekend I installed a prototype of Warren's (VK3BYD) Site Alert at
VK3CV-1. (We are currently testing and proving the units.)

Site Alert monitors several parameters at remote (digi) repeater sites
such as "in shack" temperature, backup battery voltage, digipeater
transmissions and mains power failure alerts. If there is a mains power
failure then Site Alert will notify the site owner via APRS Messaging
and
place an alert icon on the map. If the backup batteries voltage falls
below a preset level Site Alert will disable the Digipeaters transmitter
until the voltage increases to an operational level.

Data from the monitored Site Alert items is fed in to the APRS network
using the TLM format (see APRS spec for more details) and can be logged
using the UI-History/Telemetry utility that comes with UI-View32 ver
1.80
or later, or via FindU using the following URLS:
