G'day Hamish,
I'm struggling a little with Knoppix at the moment. I tried to do a 
hard-disk install and it all went horribly wrong. I've been 2 days at 
the task now and the petticoat government is "becoming concerned"

I'll try again this evening... I'm not familiar with apt but it can't be 
worse than Mandrake or Fedora Core RPM systems!
