[OZAPRS] APRS 10Mhz Frequency Change

After considerable testing it has been found that the VK3MY-3 transmitter
is on the correct centre frequency of 10.1476Mhz USB.

However the tones on the TNC used were off frequency by 495Hz. It was
assumed that the TNC a KAM XL used the ‘standard’ Kantronics HF tone pair
of 1600Hz/1800Hz (which it did not).

This has now been corrected.

All APRS HF stations on 10 MHz will need to retune their transceivers to
VK3MY-3.

To assist with this VK3MY-3 is currently transmitting 3 beacons on HF at
different time intervals as listed below.

Beacon 1 every 5 minutes; Icon yellow star; No HF path

Beacon 2 every 10 minutes; Icon blue G diamond Object; Path of ECHO

Beacon 3 every 15 minutes; Icon blue G diamond Posit; Path of GATE,WIDE

With this schedule you will here the following:

All 3 beacons on the 1/2hr.

Beacons 1 & 2 at 10, 20, 40, 50 minutes past the hour.

Beacons 1 & 3 at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour.

Beacon 1 only at 5, 25, 35, 55 minutes past the hour.

These beacons will be reduced when all stations are netted and more
traffic is detected on APRS HF.

Thank you to those of you who provided constructive technical assistance
to resolve this matter.

Regards

Richard
