[OZAPRS] APRS and SSTV

 G'day Richard,

I have been doing a similar excercise but I guess in "longhand". I use the
scheduler in UI-VIEW to take a snap of the screen every ten minutes or so
and then use an additional scheduler program called Alarm Wiz to carry
out an FTP transfer to a web page every 20 minutes.
See www.hooked.customer.netspace.net.au/vk3awa
I will take a look at APRN, it may be a more straight forward method to
achieve the same result.

Gday All,

I've been experimenting with some software called APRN. (Automatic
Picture Reporting Network)

APRN takes your stations APRS position, your mobile SSTV picture and
publishes it on the web so you can not only see where a mobile APRS
station is but what the driver is seeing.

Take a look at my initial tests.

I've still got some work to do on getting the camera and SSTV unit right
but you should get the idea. It may also be possible to obtain similar
results using UI-Views capture and web server functions.

The equipment is the standard D700 with a Kenwood VHC1 in the car and
MMSSTV, APRN & UI-View software running on a PC at home.

Cheers
Richard
