[VK2-APRS] map for wyong

Guys,

There seems to be a 200-300m error in some of these maps.

If you have maps on a site for use with APRS,   PLEASE indicate on the
site what datum the maps are calibrated in (WGS84 or AUS84) !!

The difference between the WGS84 datum and the AUS84 datum is
approximately 200m in our part of the world.   When we are dealing with
maps of very small areas (e.g. a racecourse) this is a BIG error !!

Generally speaking, if all maps in use are calibrated to AUS84, we need
to ensure our GPS is also calibrated to that datum.   Bear in mind that
some GPS's (like the motorola oncore) do not easily accommodate any
other datum apart from the WGS84 (which is actually the standard used in
the APRS specification).

I only make these comments since we will probably see position errors
tomorrow on the Wyong maps caused by datum mis-match.
