[OZAPRS] Hardware failure in APRS / IRLP box

Guys,



The server running aprs.net.au has been restored, after finding two faulty
hard drives AND a problematic motherboard!

(Just what we needed right before Christmas :-( )



Anyway,  aprs.net.au  is back online and working well.  Second.aprs.net.au
has been doing a supurb job and has handled the additional load well.  (I
bet you never noticed we were gone – redundancy is great hi hi!)

Folks,



We have lost one of the hard drives in the box that is hosting both
aprs.net.au  and the  IRLP Reflector 9500  services, causing the box to
crash over the weekend.  We have been seeing intermittent problems for a
few days, which has been evident with the APRS server crashing regularly.



We hope to have the hardware replaced sometime this week, so we should be
back in operation soon.
